If there is an essential nut butter in any vegan kitchen, it must be cashew butter.
There is an infinite number of ways to use this creamy nut butter in both sweet and savoury dishes. For the latter, we love adding it to soups to make them creamy and to sauces as a healthy thickening agent.
Cashew butter is also really useful in sweet recipes: have you tried using it to make dairy-free, vegan ice cream? Or blending a couple of tablespoons of cashew butter with frozen fruit (mango is sublime!) to make a healthy, frozen, creamy dessert?
This nut butter may not (yet) be well known to you, but we can assure you it quickly becomes a favourite staple in the monthly shopping.
